Practiced at Farris as a labour and business litigator, before joining Davis (now DLA Piper), helping the firm evolve to one of Canada’s leading national practices. At DLA Piper, he served as Chair of both the Employment & Labour and the Government Relations Departments, utilizing his expertise in administrative law, executive employment, shareholder remedies, and high-stakes negotiations. He attended Harvard Law School ‘s Advanced Negotiation and Mediation programs and served as an instructor.

Scott has acted as business counsel to many British Columbia’s leading corporations on regulatory, venture, shareholder, executive employment, and commercial matters. He played a leading role in major transactions, including heading a national legal team to close Harman International’s acquisition of QNX Software Systems.

Scott moved to Beadle Raven LLP, a leading business law boutique, providing strategic general counsel to growth companies. He then practiced on his own while serving as strategic general counsel for two major ventures in the tech and pharmaceutical sectors.
